“On Our Own Terms” is an evocative meditation on identity, belonging and community. This immersive film invites us to reflect on what it is that makes us who we are, and what happens when we gather together and our creativity is allowed to flourish.
“On Our Own Terms” weaves the diverse experiences of five women associated with the Polish Arts Festival, women who were shaped by Poland and are now deeply rooted in Ireland. It explores how their lives are enriched though creativity and how creativity can help to give fresh understanding not just what it is to be a migrant but what it is to be human.

Screening will be followed by Q&A with the director and guests.
