Polish Arts Festival Music Commission 2025: Greg Oleksevic & Paddy Mulcahy
We are delighted to announce the 2025 Polish Arts Festival Music Commission – a new collaborative work by Kildare-based Greg Oleksevic and Limerick-based Paddy Mulcahy.
This analogue and experimental electronic composition will premiere during the week of the Festival and marks a bold step in cross-genre, cross-cultural sonic exploration.
Now in its fourth edition, the PAF Music Commission supports the creation of new work by artists working at the intersection of sound, identity, and innovation.
Previous commissions have featured composers such as Emma Langford and Ania Banko Szumacher or Dora Gola and JaYne, and this year’s project continues that legacy of pushing creative boundaries.
Bringing together Oleksevic’s rich modular synth textures and Mulcahy’s emotionally resonant electronic soundscapes, this collaboration explores themes of memory, displacement, and shared heritage. It is a celebration of the Polish-Irish experience, told through analogue circuitry and contemporary composition.
The only dedicated festival of its kind in Ireland, the Polish Arts Festival returns to Limerick on September 18th - 21st with an exciting programme of events taking place across several venues including the Belltable, Limerick City Gallery of Art, The Hunt Museum and the Record Room. The Polish Arts Festival celebrates Polish culture & art, nurtures new international artistic collaborations and conversations, and supports Polish artists living and creating in Ireland.
This year we are thrilled to present the world-famous Leszek Możdżer!
