“Lace of Leaves” is a collection of twenty papercuts in which nature comes alive through delicate paper lace. Leaves, flowers, branches, and other natural motifs intertwine in the ornaments, creating a subtle yet expressive poetry of form.

Each piece is an attempt to capture the rhythm of life around us and to convey it in fragile paper, which becomes a window into a world of harmony and beauty.

„Koronka z liści” — to kolekcja dwudziestu wycinanek, w których natura ożywa poprzez papierowe koronki. W ornamentach splatają się liście, kwiaty, gałązki i inne motywy przyrodnicze, tworząc subtelną, a zarazem wyrazistą poezję form.

Każde dzieło to próba uchwycenia rytmu życia wokół nas i przekazania go w kruchym papierze, który staje się oknem na świat harmonii i piękna.

«Мереживо з листя» — це колекція з двадцяти витинанок, у яких природа оживає крізь паперове мереживо.

У візерунках переплітаються листя, квіти, гілочки та інші природні мотиви, створюючи водночас ніжну й виразну поезію форм.

Кожен твір — це спроба вловити ритм життя навколо нас і передати його у крихкому папері, що стає вікном у світ гармонії та краси.

Ukrainian Papercut Artist | Monumental Tradition Reimagined Daria Alyoshkina is a leading Ukrainian artist celebrated for transforming the ancient folk art of papercutting into monumental contemporary works. Her intricate, hand-crafted pieces merge symbolism, elegance, and scale, expressing Ukrainian identity, spirituality, and cultural memory.

Trained as a sculptor, she discovered her true voice through papercut art,creating both intimate and large-scale works exhibited in major cultural institutions across the world — from the Venice Biennale to the United Nations and Cartier. Her work has been shown in Paris, Geneva, Seoul, Toronto, and Kyiv, with notable features at Homo Faber (Venice 2024) and the Révélations
Biennial (Paris 2023).

Her latest exhibition, “Lace of Centuries” (2025), continues to affirm her role as a powerful artistic voice connecting tradition and innovation.
