The Polish Arts Festival opens with a special concert by an ensemble from the Limerick-based Cantate Deo Choir, founded and conducted by Ania Banko-Szumacher and based at the Polish Parish in Limerick (St Michael’s Church, Denmark Street).

As part of this year's festival programme, we are delighted to celebrate the Year of Andrzej Wajda with a screening of one of the acclaimed director's greatest and most recognisable achievements, The Promised Land.

Radek Przedpełski’s multichannel video installation explores landscape as an archive of geological, personal, and political histories.

Ahead of his Limerick concert, acclaimed accordionist Marcin Wyrostek leads a masterclass for students and enthusiasts, sharing his technique and artistry.

This playful and curious theatre workshop invites adults into the world of UN-MASKING, a performance inspired by the provocative and mischievous writing of Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz.

Join us for a literary meeting with Agata Bizuk – a Polish author, long-time resident of Ireland and, in her own words, an emigrant “only in body, as her heart and spirit have always remained in Poland.”

Join us for a special Artists Networking Event, bringing together artists, musicians, writers, cultural practitioners and creatives from Limerick and beyond. This year, we are delighted to welcome a group from Dublin gathered around Portrety Emigracji – a Polish-language quarterly magazine dedicated to the stories, experiences and achievements of Poles living abroad.

Polish accordion virtuoso Marcin Wyrostek and his trio perform in Limerick, joined by the local H.I.P.S.T.E.R. Ensemble for a special collaboration.
